Q: What got you into refereeing?
A: After 15 years of senior rugby, my body started giving up and I was getting injury prone. My brother (Karl Hancox) had been on my case for years to give it a go.
Q: What do you enjoy most about refereeing?
A: Staying involved in the game and giving back to rugby.
For many years I was helping referees out while I was playing and now it’s my turn to get the help. Haha!
Q: What is your highest achievement in refereeing?
A: Last year, getting the Division 2 Reserve Final and being part of the U16 South Island Tournament refereeing team.
